lodine is an important nutrient for growth and development. Animal and plant based foods from the sea are considered the most abundant source of iodine.
Vitamin A refers to a group of fat-soluble dietary compounds found in foods as either Vitamin A or as carotenes. Sweet potato, cantaloupe and mangos are all sources of Vitamin A.
B12 is involved in the function of all cells and plays a role in growth and metabolism. It can be found predominantly in animal based foods such as meat, eggs and fish.
B3 is a water soluble vitamin involved in a wide range of biological functions including energy production and the utilisation of fatty acids. Foods containing B3 include beef, chicken, turkey, peaches, apricots and prunes.
B6 is a water soluble vitamin involved in the making of neurotransmitters and a range of other biological processes. B6 can be found in foods such as shitake mushrooms, red peppers, fish and wholegrains.
Vitamin C (Ascorbic acid) is an important nutrient found in a variety of fruits and vegetables such as berries, papaya, oranges and kiwi fruit. It may assist with healthy immune system function.
